About Us
La Protofusione Srl grew out of La Forgia Preziosi, in the Vicenza goldsmith district. We are a contract (third-party) workshop for jewellery and fashion accessories: microcasting, protofusion and prototyping.
Origin of the method: the term “protofusione” (protofusion) and the production process were created by this company. It is experience and know-how built here — not just a service name.

Protofusion (3D-printed wax and direct casting), lost-wax microcasting for third parties, closures and findings (historic DIVIOR line), rapid prototyping, 3D scanning and reverse engineering, design and rendering.
Technologies
Wax 3D printing on ProJet MJP2005W and Plempire PL2000plus, SLA stereolithography, FDM extrusion, Rhinoceros, lost-wax microcasting plant.
Protofusion
Shapes that could not be cast before: walls down to 0.2 mm, closed lattices, undercuts. The term protofusion (protofusione) was born here — from La Forgia Preziosi to 3D printing since 2006, up to today’s machines.
